Chairman of the Board – Terry Cooke:
Terry has been serving his community for over 25 years. He
was elected Chairman of the Region of Hamilton-Wentworth in
1994 and re-elected decisively in 1997. Under his leadership
the Region gained recognition as an international leader in
the formation of successful public/private partnerships. He
was also the primary political champion of the amalgamation
of Hamilton and its former area municipalities into the new
City of Hamilton in 2001. Prior to his election as Regional
Chairman, Mr. Cooke was elected 3 times as a City and
Regional Councillor for Ward One in the City of Hamilton.
Upon his retirement from political life, Mr. Cooke entered
the private sector with his appointment as President and
Chief Operating Officer for the Foxcroft Group of Companies
which includes Fluke Transportation, Hamilton Terminals and
Fox 40 International. During his 4 years leading the
Foxcroft Group, the businesses enjoyed significant growth.
Today Terry is President of Cooke Capital Corporation; a
company that provides strategic advice in the fields of
energy, technology and land development.
Sean Licata
Sean has spent his career introducing new products into the
technology industry. With a diverse background in small and
large organizations, Sean specializes in sales and marketing
for new products. Sean has held senior positions at Nortel
Networks and Sun Microsystems, and also was a founding
member of Pirus Networks (a venture-backed storage
networking company purchased by Sun Microsystems in 2002).
Sean holds a Computer Science degree from the University of
Waterloo, and an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Basile Papaevangelou
Basile has spent the first 25 years of his career with
AlliedSignal (now Honeywell International). Basile served as
Chairman of AlliedSignal Canada, President and CEO of
AlliedSignal Aerospace Canada and Vice President and General
Manager of AlliedSignal’s worldwide Aircraft Power
Management Business. Basile has been a Chair with T.E.C.
(The Executive Committee) Ltd. since 1998. As a T.E.C.
Chair, he assists and mentors CEO’s and business leaders in
attaining their ultimate professional and personal goals. He
currently sits on a number of private company Advisory
Boards. Throughout his career, Basile has participated in a
number of technology start-ups as chairman and/or director
and investor. In 1993, Basile earned his undergraduate
degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University. He
earned his MBA from the same school in 1983 and completed
the Program for Senior Executives at IMB in Lausanne,
Switzerland in 1995.
Jerry Kalata
Jerry is a business executive with over 25 years experience
operating companies exceeding $100 million in revenue,
possessing expertise in marketing, sales, operations and
product development. He is a decisive leader with strong
conceptual and strategic planning skills with a proven track
record of consistently achieving results in a management
capacity and is an effective motivator, problem solver and
is dedicated to bottom line objectives. Jerry received his
BA from the University of Toronto.
Jorgen Moller
Jorgen is President of Advanced Network Technology Corp
(Canada) and is an IT security and computer network
consultant. Since 1975, Jorgen has been engaged in the
planning and designing of complex networks, applications and
security systems for large corporations, institutions and
government. Today, Jorgen’s focus is on identity management
systems for internet based services, involved with public
key infrastructure planning and implementations from the
early releases of commercial products. Jorgen has a degree
in Electronics and Telecommunications.
